Will Athens Citizens‘ Pride and Demand-for-Action Make the Classic City a Safer, Cleaner and more Prosperous Hometown?

Athens business leaders and concerned citizens have formed Athens Classic, Inc., an association deeply alarmed that Athens’ Mayor and Commissioners are failing to address key city problems.  The group proposes reforms to: 1) reduce growing crime; 2) stop the influx of homeless from Georgia cities; 3) lower taxes on business; and 4) raise the quality of public education to equal that of surrounding counties.
